Enter the world of the curious in this magical book by Christine Davenne. Cabinets of Wonder brings together in 180 intriguing pictures the best cabinet collections from homes and museums across the world. From an old tradition developed in Europe during the Renaissance, this book studies the history behind this wonder, as well appreciating it as an art in its own right.

These cabinets combine art and science beautifully, as collections of Zoological and Anatomical wonders are displayed for others to admire. From skulls to butterflies, shells to monekys wearing tiaras, and fascinating anatomical models.

Our favourite feature is by artist Maïssa Toulet in her collection titled La Vue (Sight) and Les Végétaux (The Plants). She likes to think her combination of science and art create miniature museums. Her finds are sorted, categorises and then displayed to make these wonderful works of arts.
